This is the second time this season a Philadelphia Flyer has been named CCHA Alumnus of the Week. Former Wolverine Mike Knuble picked up five points in four games this past week in helping the Flyers stay in second place in the Atlantic Division. He began his week on Tuesday hosting Pittsburgh when he scored a goal and added an assist in an 8-2 rout of the Penguins. Two days later the Toronto native tallied an assist in a 4-1 loss to Montreal. In Philly's third home game of the week, he recorded another assist in a 6-5 shoot-out loss to Carolina. His week concluded in New Jersey where he picked up yet another assist against the Devils. In four years at Michigan, Knuble scored 175 points in 157 games as the Wolverines finished as regular-season champions three times and play-off champions once. In his junior and senior season he was named to the CCHA All-Conference Second Team. His 60 points during his senior year brought him national attention as he was named a Second Team All-American. The Detroit Red Wings draft pick has 348 points in 687 NHL games and was a member of two Stanley Cup championships. In 14 professional seasons, he has skated for Detroit, Boston, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia, as well as Adirondack of the AHL. He spent the 2004 NHL lockout playing in Sweden.
