Shawn Horcoff Shawn Horcoff of the Edmonton Oilers recorded four points in three games to earn CCHA Alumni of the Week honors. The former Spartan, who is in his sixth full season with the Oilers, began his week in Minnesota where he scored a goal in a 5-2 loss to the Wild. Three days later, he chipped in an assist in a 4-3 shootout loss in Colorado. His week concluded in Calgary, where he tallied the final two goals in a 4-2 victory over the Flames. Horcoff, who has over 250 points in under 444 NHL games, spent four years at Michigan State, where he tallied 152 points in 155 games. During his time at MSU, the Spartans finished the regular season in third place once, second place once, and first place twice. They were also CCHA tournament champions twice and finalists once. His senior season was the most productive and rewarding, finishing first in the CCHA with 44 points and earned a plethora of CCHA honors including Player of the Year, All-Conference First Team and the award for best defensive forward. He was also an All-American and a Hobey Baker Memorial finalist.
