Welcome to the CCHA Awards presented by RBC at Detroit's historic Fox Theatre.

It wouldn't be a hockey banquet without ice.

Fans, parents and players mingle in the lobby of the Fox before the awards presentation.

Gil Scott from RBC presented the RBC Financial Group CCHA Player of the Year to Northern Michigan senior goalie Tuomas Tarkki.

Former Lake Superior State head coach Jeff Jackson presented the CCHA Coach of the Year award to Nebraska-Omaha head coach Mike Kemp.

Former Wolverine David Roberts, the 1990 winner, presented the CCHA Rookie of the Year award to Nebraska-Omaha freshman Bill Thomas.

Bowling Green senior goalie Jordan Sigalet was presented with the Terry Flanagan Memorial Award by Terry's brothers Denis and Mark in recognition of his perseverance, dedication and courage in his battle with multiple sclerosis.

Lake Superior senior Bo Cheesman was the recipient of the fifth annual Mike and Marian Ilitch Humanitarian award for his wide variety of volunteer services. Cheesman was presented the award by Chris, Mike and Marian Ilitch.

Miami junior defenseman Andy Greene became the third RedHawk to receive CCHA Best Offensive Defenseman honors, presented by Bowling Green head coach Scott Paluch.

Atlanta Thrashers general manager and former Northern Michigan player Don Waddell presented the CCHA's Best Defensive Defenseman award to NMU junior Nathan Oystrick.

Michigan senior forward Eric Nystrom was the honoree for the Best Defensive Forward award, presented by FSN Detroit's Matt Shepherd.

Former Bulldog Randy Merrifield presented Michigan sophomore forward T.J. Hensick with the leading scorer award.

Former Ohio State goaltender John Damrath presented Northern Michigan senior goalie with the best goaltender award, which goes to the goaltender with the lowest goals-against average.

Bowling Green senior goalie Jordan Sigalet was the overall winner of the Perani Cup with 59 points. Sigalet was presented the award by Vince Brooks of Perani's Hockey World.

Ohio State Sports Information Director Leann Parker was presented the SID of the Year award by Lansing State Journal writer Neil Koepke.
