Brian Rolston scored three goals in three games, aiding the Minnesota Wild to a pair of victories to become CCHA Alumnus of the Week. While visiting Vancouver on Monday, the assistant captain wristed a shot past Roberto Luongo to give the Wild a 1-0 lead en route to a 4-2 win over the Canucks. Just a day later in Calgary the Flint, Mich., native scored Minnesota's only goal in a 2-1 loss. In Colorado two days later, Rolston netted his third of the week in a 3-2 win over the Avalanche. During the week he averaged 30 shifts per game and almost 20 minutes of ice time. In two years with Lake Superior, Rolston scored 51 goals and 110 points in 80 games. He helped the Lakers to a pair of appearances in the national title game, winning in 1992 and garnering the Most Outstanding Player award after scoring the game-winner. Lake State won the CCHA tournament in both of his seasons and he found himself on the All-Tournament team twice. His 33-31-64 sophomore campaign was rewarded both first team All-CCHA and second team All-American honors. The first-round draft pick made his professional debut with the Albany River Rats of the AHL before jumping to the New Jersey Devils in 1994, winning a Stanley Cup with them that year. In 946 NHL games the center has 272 goals and 610 points. Rolston tallied four points in the 2007 All-Star game. He holds the Wild single-season record with 79 points and has been a member of three US Olympic squads.
