Five to Join BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008

The Bowling Green State University Athletics Hall of Fame will welcome five new members on Saturday, Nov. 1. The 2008 class will be inducted during a brunch ceremony on the BGSU campus. The class of 2008 will include John Brizendine '71 (lacrosse), Kim Jamison '85 (women's track and field), Cheryl Patteson '96 (women's swimming), Ronnie Redd '95 (football) and Jack Vivian (hockey coach) ...

Dennis Williams Named New Assistant Hockey Coach

The Bowling Green State University hockey program and head coach Scott Paluch has announced that former Falcon player and graduate assistant Dennis Williams has been named its' new assistant hockey coach, replacing Doug Schueller who was named head coach at Division III Saint John's University in Minnesota back in May.

Former player and graduate assistant Dennis Williams will return to BGSU for the 2008-09 season where he will serve as the programs new assistant coach.

BG Hockey Alum Named USA Hockey's "Adult Ironman of the Year"

Former Bowling Green State University hockey player Tom Hendrix, was honered by USA Hockey as its' 2008 "Adult Ironman of the Year". Hendrix played on the Falcons inaugural varsity team in 1969 and registered 55 career games under legendary Falcon head coach Jack Vivian.

Scott Paluch, the captain of Bowling Green's 1988 CCHA playoff championship team and the first former Falcon to man the bench, is in his sixth season as the fifth hockey coach in school history.
